Access to Advanced Vocational Training Cycles
Access for students applying for admission to the first year of professional studies in plastic arts and design (comic, illustration, and artistic jewelry) can be done through the following pathways:
PATHWAY 1: DIRECT ACCESS
Applicants who meet any of the following requirements are exempt from taking the specific exam for access to the Higher Vocational Training Cycles in Photography, Illustration, Comic and Artistic Jewelry, and must complete the registration by specifying “Direct Access”.
– Certificate of Technician in Plastic Arts and Design
– Certificate of Higher Technician in Plastic Arts and Design
– Baccalaureate diploma in the Arts modality or Experimental Artistic Baccalaureate
– Higher Degree in Plastic Arts in any specialty, or an equivalent qualification
– Higher Degree in Design in any specialty, or an equivalent qualification
– Higher Degree in the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Assets in the various specialties
– Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts
– Architecture
– Technical Engineering in Industrial Design
– Applicants who hold a baccalaureate degree, or an equivalent qualification, and can prove at least one year of work experience directly related to the professional competencies of the training cycle they wish to access, are also exempt from the specific exam. Proof must be provided by a company certificate clearly stating the duration of the contract, the activity performed, and the time period in which the work was carried out. In the case of self-employed workers, a certificate of registration in the census of tax obligations must be submitted. In both cases, a social security employment history certificate is also required.
(40% of places are reserved for this pathway in each cycle). Direct access admissions will be awarded based on the average grade of the qualification submitted.
PATHWAY 2: ACCESS VIA SPECIFIC ENTRANCE EXAM. (2 sessions)
Applicants who meet any of the following requirements are exempt from taking the general exam:
– Baccalaureate diploma or equivalent.
– Diploma in Applied Arts and Artistic Crafts under the 1963 curriculum or the experimental plan.
– Technical Specialist or Higher Technician degree in Vocational Training.
– Having completed other studies officially recognized as academically equivalent to any of the above.
– University degree or equivalent.
– Having passed the university entrance exam for students over 25 years of age.
And must pass the specific part of the entrance exam.

PATHWAY 3: ACCESS VIA GENERAL + SPECIFIC ENTRANCE EXAMS (2 sessions)
Applicants without academic qualifications must pass both the general and the specific parts of the entrance exam.
To take the general part of the entrance exam, they must be 19 years old during the year the exam takes place.
(20% of places are reserved for this pathway in each cycle)
ENROLLMENT PROCESS
Enrollment for applicants who must take the general exam: April 1–15 and September 1–4.
Enrollment for applicants who must take the specific entrance exam: June 2–6 and September 1–4.
Enrollment for applicants applying via direct access: June 2–6 and September 1–4.

Note: If you do not have the requested certificate by the deadline, you may submit a conditional enrollment by completing the following document.
If the application is submitted somewhere other than the school’s office or the Registry of the Department of Education and Vocational Training, or if it is sent by postal mail, a copy of the submission receipt must be emailed within the deadline to: escoladartdemallorca@educaib.eu
